Single-layer and multi-layer solid wood panels for the furniture and flooring industries must provide consistency and premium quality. Bonomo offers strong adhesive solutions for a wide range of production processes and end-product requirements.

PVAc adhesives are widely used polyvinyl acetate based systems in the production of solid wood panels. These adhesives meet D2 durability requirements and are suitable for interior applications exposed to short-term running or condensed water. For exterior applications used in environments with higher humidity, without direct weather exposure, reactive dispersions meeting D3 classification are preferred.

The portfolio includes a range of low-formaldehyde dispersions as well as EPI and one-component PUR adhesives that have been successfully used in this application for many years. This allows solutions to be matched to different production methods and final product expectations.

D2 dispersions used for solid wood panels intended for interior use are known for their short setting times. Certain wood species may be prone to discoloration when processed with acidic adhesives. This can be avoided by using pH-neutral D2 and D3 dispersions. In addition, low-corrosive properties help reduce wear on production equipment.

D3 adhesives, offering a broad viscosity range for different surface properties and common application methods, provide process reliability in roller, nozzle or doctor blade application. For exterior furniture or cladding solutions exposed to severe weather conditions, high-moisture- and heat-resistant EPI or one-component PUR adhesives are among the preferred options.
