Modern adhesive systems for postforming
Whether the priority is visual quality or long-term functionality, a flawless transition between surface and edge is essential for many furniture components and interior applications. In postforming, a decorative edge material is wrapped around a previously laminated and profiled carrier to create a rounded front edge for kitchen worktops, window sills and other furniture parts.
Moisture-curing PUR hotmelt adhesives are known for excellent heat and moisture resistance. Alongside PVAc dispersion adhesives and PA / PO hotmelt systems, they have become increasingly important in postforming applications.
