PU dispersions for 3D furniture front production
Laminated 3D furniture fronts are strongly influenced by current trends in furniture manufacturing. When design moves toward contoured wood-based substrates covered with classic PVC foils, polyurethane-based dispersion adhesives become one of the most effective solutions.
The Jowapur® range offers a broad portfolio of one-component and two-component PU dispersion adhesives that can be reactivated at relatively low temperatures and provide high initial strength. This is especially valuable for furniture front production and for surfaces where edge banding quality is expected in the final appearance.
This technology also supports easier planning, cleaner material supply and storage, reduced cleaning effort and processing without restrictive pot-life limitations. For manufacturers, that means better process reliability and more consistent surface quality.
Two-component Jowapur® systems provide a broad bonding window through the flexible addition of a crosslinker. The amount of added crosslinker can be individually adjusted according to the laminated substrate and the required bond performance.
